A Tribute
In 1984, my friend and mentor Josefina Howard introduced tableside guacamole at the original Rosa Mexicano on First Avenue and 58th Street in Manhattan. It was so warmly received that through the years it has been copied all over the country, and in Mexico, too! Mrs. Howard is also remembered for her pomegranate Margaritas and other signature creations. As a tribute to Mrs. Howard for her pioneering spirit and tireless efforts on behalf of Mexico and Mexican cooking, I dedicate this restaurant to her. May we always strive for her high standards of hospitality and cuisine, and may we always remember her legacy of warmth and wisdom. Thank you, Fina!
